Individual Therapy

Evidence-based psychological therapy tailored specifically for you.

My Approach

I don't believe that therapy is a 'one size fits all' endeavour. As a result, I am trained in, and work with, a range of different therapeutic approaches including CBT, Person-centered humanistic therapy, CFT, ACT and Schema-informed therapy. What's key is that I work alongside you in deciding what approach may best meet your needs, tailoring therapy for you by considering your needs and preferences, the evidence-base for an approach that best aligns with your difficulties, and conducting regular reviews to ensure that you remain satisfied with your therapy.

Connect the Dots

 Building a formulation

A significant component of effective psychological therapy includes the collaborative creation of a formulation. A formulation can be viewed as a map of someone's life, combining your history and personal circumstances with leading-edge psychological theory to provide an overview and explanation for your presenting difficulties. We'll work together to build and refine your formulation. A strong formulation forms the base of effective therapy and can enable us to identify areas to target to sustain long term change.

Formulations are unique to each individual and in relation to your unique area of difficulty. My main areas of expertise involve supporting those struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, stress, OCD, anger, emotional dysregulation, binge eating, restrictive eating, bereavement, body dysmorphia, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, and challenges arising from neurodivergency and personality disorders.

Working Together

The most important aspect of successful therapy, continually backed by research, is the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, how we work together, and the space I create for you, is of the upmost importance. It is my aim to bring my values of compassion, acceptance, and collaboration into the therapeutic space so you can feel safe to share and explore what can often be difficult to unpack.
