About me
My aim is to tailor therapy specifically to you, applying evidence-based approaches to help you achieve your goals in the shortest possible time, whilst exploring the origins of your difficulties to enable long-term change.
My Professional Background

I am an HCPC registered and BPS Chartered (CPsychol) Counselling Psychologist with a Bachelors degree with Honours in Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Masters in Counselling Studies, and a Doctorate of Psychology in Counselling Psychology. I currently offer private therapy online alongside my NHS post, where I work in adult mental health services. I have experience working alongside people who may be struggling from a range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, panic, depression, stress, OCD, anger, emotional dysregulation, binge eating, restrictive eating, bereavement, body dysmorphia, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, and challenges arising from neurodivergency and personality disorders across the NHS, third sector and private organisations.

I have dedicated my life's work to supporting people in distress, because I care.
02

Come as you are. I aim to create a space free from judgement, am passionate about equality and inclusion, and am committed to providing anti-discriminatory practice to all.
03
Collaboration
I believe you are the expert in your experiencing, and I bring professional, evidence-based expertise in my role. Together we work towards your goals.
My Interests
My interest in becoming a therapist stemmed from my postgraduate days working with autistic young people and adults. Here I developed a passion for equality, and a motivation to want to train in a role that enabled me to support the mental health of others. My training and qualifications took my passion for equality, care and person-centred support further, introducing me to leading-edge theoretical concepts of our understanding of human distress, research backed therapeutic approaches, feminist inquiry, and competent forms of anti-discriminatory practice. Both my Masters and Doctoral research projects utilised a feminist standpoint to explore the impact of living within a rape culture for survivors of sexual assault , and discriminatory factors for women in psychology leadership, respectively. I have also created and delivered CPD training courses and workshops to therapists working with autistic adults, and webinars to the general public on topics including subtle emotional abuse in relationships and supporting autistic adults in the workplace.

...and a bit about me personally
Originally from the South East of England, I fell in love with Edinburgh when I moved here to study and I have never looked back. As well as being a proud cat mum to my adorable fluffy companions, Mochi and Yuki, in my spare time I enjoy running, yoga, eating good food and hiking around the beautiful Scottish countryside.
